Prayer for worry

Father God, I come to you now thanking you for your goodness, kindness, love, and mercy. You truly are a good Father. If I am honest, sometimes it doesn’t feel like it. Some things are heavy on my heart today, and I need you to help me. Father, you tell me to give you everything I am worried about because you care about me (1 Peter 5:7). I am giving you my heart, my family. Lord, they aren’t making the best decisions; some are being held in the stronghold of addiction, and some are facing financial trouble and problems in their marriage. It’s too much for me to carry on my own. Father, I lift them up to you, and I ask you to move in their hearts, minds, and lives. You haven’t called me to be their Holy Spirit or to change them; you have only called me to be obedient. Help me to be obedient to whatever you ask me to do today. Help me to love those who are hard to love because you love me when I am unlovable. Help me to be your heart, hands, and feet to those who are hurting and in need. Father, when I am overwhelmed with everything I see around me and in my family, help me remember to turn to you. You are my rock, my shelter, and my strong tower. I am trusting in you, Lord. (Psalms 61:2-4) Thank you for hearing my prayer. Thank you for answering my prayer. I love you, Lord, and I trust you with all of this today. In Jesus name, amen.
