Prayer for fear
“Father, today I am filled with fear. I hate to admit that. I don’t want to be afraid. I want to be bold and confident like David was when he faced Goliath. But today, I have too many Goliaths yelling out their cutting remarks. The enemy is telling me I am not enough in so many areas. I am afraid that I am not a good enough wife, mother, or grandmother. I am afraid I am making too many mistakes and not setting a good enough example. Other fears about bills, health issues, and the salvation of loved ones. Lord is all piling up on me. My mind is racing, and my heart is pounding. I need your help, Father. I know your word says, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
Please help me to feel you near me today as I face all my fears. Help me to experience your strength and rely on your strength instead of my own. Thank you for hearing my prayer. Thank you for helping me face all my fears. Now please help me to leave these here with you and go out in confidence knowing you love me, you have all things under control, and all my fears have to face you because you are my Father. In Jesus name, amen.”
