I’m so glad you are here!
It’s no accident that you clicked on this page, God loves you, and He wants a relationship with you.
This doesn’t mean that your life will be all rainbows and unicorns from now on, but I promise it will be worth it!
Have you ever noticed how we tend to divide ourselves? Like we look at others and think, “At least I’m not as bad as they are!”
We divide sin into shades of gray. We start out with white being perfect, which none of us are, then go down to “little white lies,” “stretching the truth,” you know the small stuff that “isn’t so bad.”
From there, we progress in a downward spiral to stealing, cheating, adultery, murder. So compared to someone who has murdered another human, yeah, I’m “not that bad.”
However, God says that every person who has ever lived is a sinner. Ouch! But it’s true.
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," Romans 3:23
Some people think they have to “get right” or “be a better person” before coming to God. Or they believe He is a judge sitting in the sky just waiting to punish them for every little thing they have ever done wrong, so why try.
You can do nothing that will make God love you any more than He already does right this minute!
You see, the punishment that we all deserve – death and separation from God – has been taken care of by Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:8 “God demonstrates His great love toward us in this way; While we are still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Isn’t that amazing?! Seriously, He loves you, yes you, so much that even though you aren’t perfect and don’t know Him as your Savior He STILL loves you enough that He allowed Jesus to take your place for the punishment we all deserve.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that means YOU, that He gave his only son, so whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.”
That just blows my mind. The older I get, the more I realize God’s love for me, and completely overwhelmed!
So how do you get saved and have this great relationship I keep talking about?
Well, first, you have to get rid of the sin in your life. But, don’t panic; I’m gonna let you in on a secret.
You can’t do it on your own. Only God can really clean us up and rescue us from the pit of sin.
He doesn’t do this because of anything we do or can do. It is simply because HE LOVES YOU!
Titus 3:5 “He saved us, not because of any good things we have done, but because of His mercy.”
It is only because of the grace of God that we can come to Him. His matchless and marvelous grace.
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.”
Now, as I said before the penalty for sin and the punishment we deserve as sinners is death. But Jesus took care of that for us! It’s a FREE GIFT!
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Jesus paid the price for our sins. He was crucified on a cross at Calvary. (That’s just outside of Jerusalem in Israel).
He died and was in the tomb for 3 days when God brought Him back to life. So we come to God through Jesus.
Stop and think about our sins and how much this hurts the heart of God. If you are a parent, think about how much it hurts and disappoints us when our kids do something wrong.
God loves us more than we love our kids! So when you think about how much you need a Savior and are ready to stop living in sin, you are prepared for a relationship with God and salvation.
I’m not talking about being a serial killer, or someone who sleeps around with everyone you say hello to, or someone who constantly lies and cheats and steals.
You know in your heart something is missing. We were created to have a relationship with God, but He won’t force us to.
He gives us free will. He has done all the work already but lets you make the decision to come to Him.
I wish I could put into words how much God loves you.
Oh, how He wants to clean up your heart and your life and set you free from the sins that are holding you down. The chains that are keeping you from the life you can have in Christ.
I had never experienced such joy and freedom, and peace in my life until I knew Jesus.
If you are ready to have a new life, a life with Jesus, knowing that from this moment and forever you are His and nothing can change that, then all that is left for you to do is to accept His free gift of salvation.
Romans 10:9-10 “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”
God says that if we believe in Jesus, then we can live forever with Him in Heaven.
Yes, one day this body will give out and die. But the best news is that my soul, that Jesus has redeemed, will NEVER die!
One day, I will get a new body and live forever in Heaven with Jesus, and all the other people saved and have gone on before me.
People from the Bible as well as friends and family members. I will see all of them one day; what a glorious day that will be!
So just to put this simply, here are the steps ( I know I talk a lot, but this is important)
- I must confess that I am a sinner and repent of my sins. (Repent means to turn away from and stop doing what I am doing)
- I must believe in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. By doing this I am trusting that Jesus paid the price from my sins.
- I must confess Jesus as my savior and my God. I must completely surrender control of my life to Him.
- I must receive Jesus as my savior forever. By doing this I have accepted what God has done for me. I believe what He has promised.
A sample prayer if you want to pray and aren’t sure how is this:
Lord Jesus, I know that I’m a sinner. I believe that you died on the cross for me because you love me. I believe that you rose from the grave and paid the price for my sin. Please come into my life, forgive me of my sins and take complete control. I can’t do this without you and I don’t want to anymore. I am putting all my trust in you. Thank you for your gift of salvation. Thank you for saving me from my sins and the punishment that I deserve. I give you my life. I accept your free gift and with all my heart I thank you!
If you have questions, want more information, or have decided to pray this prayer and are now saved, please let me know!
I would love to rejoice with you! But, if you think I’m nuts and this all sounds crazy, I get that too.
