Hey, thank you for stopping by Warrior Women Blog! I feel so blessed you decided to check out my About Me page.
I started this blog as a way to help other women and create an open, welcoming, nonjudgmental place for you to come and just rest.
Are you a woman who wants to grow in your faith or be a better wife or mom?
Maybe you are trying to take care of or help aging parents along with all of your other responsibilities.
I think we all have areas in our lives we want to improve.
Are you looking for a place where you can belong and share with other women and either become a christian or grow in your faith?
Well, you are at the right place! If you want to join our Warrior Women group we would love to have you!
So just in case you are wondering who I am or why I’m doing this let me tell you a little bit about me.
I’ve been married since 1993 and I have 5 kids and 2 precious grandkids. Grandkids are definitely worth the wait!
I’m an only child from a small town in West TN and attended college at Union University in Jackson, TN.
I grew up in church and went all the time. I taught Sunday school, Bible Training Union on Sunday nights, sang in the choir and even played the piano on occasion.
Even though I’ve been saved since I was 9 years old it wasn’t until I got to college that I really began to learn more about the Bible. I have degrees in Religion and Psychology and have worked as a social worker for 20+ years.
Since I’ve worked in healthcare for over 20 years with the majority of that being in hospice care my original plan was to write about all things healthcare and making informed decisions.
However, I strongly believe God had different plans.
See if this sounds familiar. Since becoming a wife and mom you have learned way more than you ever thought possible about stress, stress management, love, anger, frustration, happiness, grace, mercy and forgiveness.
Along with a hundred other things you never thought possible!
I will admit, I haven’t always been as strong in my faith as I would have liked.
I haven’t always been the wife and mom I have wanted to be. What about you?
Life gets crazy and makes us that way at times. But one thing, the MAIN thing I have learned and continue to learn is that God is good!
God loves me and He loves you. He is filled with grace, mercy and forgiveness that He pours out through His love on us every single day!
God is a redeemer! He can take any situation or relationship, redeem, restore, heal and make it so much better than we ever thought possible.
My goal is to help you and me grow in our faith. To learn to be more like Jesus in our daily lives. We want to be better wives and moms and just women in general.
If this sounds like you I would absolutely love for you to join me here!
My goal is to post on the blog every week but life happens and I’m learning to let go and not stress when my plans don’t always go as planned.
Please feel free to share with me things that are on your heart. I do have a place on my blog for prayer request or you can leave one here. I believe very strongly in the power of prayer and I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that nothing is impossible for God!
Maybe you just aren’t sure how to be saved and have a relationship with God. Check out this page How To Be Saved. Feel free to message me with any questions you may have!
As a way to say thank you for checking out my blog I’d like to give you a free gift! Just fill out the form below to get the beautiful printable scripture cards you can use to pray over yourself or your family!
Just so you know I write about Christian Living, Marriage, Parenting, Bible Study, and Family.
P.S. I only send out 1 email a week so I’m not blowing up your inbox and I will be sharing things in the email that I may or may not share on the blog.
Some things include any kind of resource or other blog that I think you will enjoy, maybe some kind of sale (because as the mom of 5 kids I’m a serious bargin shopper!) or it may be answering questions.
I’d LOVE to hear from you anytime with questions, post topics you are interested in or if you just want to chat!
